Visiting from Santa Monica, Casie Danenhauer, Doctor of Physical Therapy & Registered Yoga Teacher, will lead us through an extended 3 hour workshop exploring the pelvic floor and holistic women's wellness.
Through this immersion you'll learn how to enhance your pelvic health through yoga and connect with women in the community on a new level. The first portion of the workshop will include a discussion of the anatomy, function, and energetic components of the pelvis/pelvic floor. Discussion will include common issues relating to the pelvic floor including:
-painful intercourse or other sexual difficulties
-pregnancy, childbirth, and post-natal concerns
-painful period
-pain with sitting
-bowel or bladder difficulties
-feeling disconnected from your body
-feeling unsafe or unsupported in your life
Casie will then lead a gentle yoga class focused on incorporating core and pelvic floor awareness throughout the slow and gentle flow, open to all levels of practitioners. Class will end with a guided meditation and time for discussion or questions.
Come explore how mindful awareness, breathing techniques, and gentle movement can improve your connection to your core and pelvic floor and enhance your life.

Many people with pelvic pain, or other health issues such as vaginismus, endometriosis, or interstitial cystitis feel like there's a "missing link' to why they aren't getting better, or why they feel disconnected from their bodies. At Enlighten Physical Therapy in Santa Barbara, Casie specializes in providing conscious care for pelvic health in these cases.
She combines her skills as a yoga instructor and a pelvic floor and orthopedic physical therapist to create a unique and holistic path towards healing. The path is one that maintains balance between evidence-based western science and an integrative consideration of the physical, emotional, energetic, and spiritual systems.
Casie's aim is to empower her clients through education, and by giving them the treatment tools they need for self-management, self- care, and self-healing. She uses a variety of manual therapy techniques along with yoga-based interventions to treat and teach people with pelvic floor and chronic pain concerns. If you feel like you may benefit from a more holistic approach to wellness, come join us for a weekend workshop!
