Yin Yang Yoga for the Fall Chinese Meridians

In Chinese Medicine, autumn is associated with the lung and large intestine meridians. It's about setting boundaries and moving into a more introspective nature as the weather gets cooler and the days get shorter. From a Chinese Medicine perspective, we might explore doing yoga shapes that balance the lung and large intestine meridians by expanding our chest and heart center, lengthening our back body and restoring balance with twists through our center and side body lengthening.

Over this four week series (attend one or attend them all) we will explore a practice that interweaves strong, warming vinyasa movements (yang) with still, cooling yoga shapes (yin) that will blend elements of Chinese Medicine, yoga, mindfulness and meditation. These practices aim to support us in feeling balanced, cleansed and nourished from the inside out.
