Reiki energy work is a way of guiding energy throughout the body to promote the recipient’s self-healing abilities, according to the National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health (NCCIH). When combined with a yin yoga practice, the two together have the potential to reduce stress and anxiety, promote healthy circulation, release fascia and improve overall joint mobility.
This 75 minute Yin + Reiki practice will offer you an opportunity to explore mindfulness and yin shapes that promote self-compassionate awareness. You will also learn stretches that can bring relief to presence of aches and pains in all parts of the body. The added presence of Reiki energy can support a sense balance and vitality.
Facilitator: Julie Johnson is has her M.Ed Education, RYT 500, Reiki Master and Trauma Informed Yoga teacher. She is an avid lover of outdoors, chinchillas and biking. A regular yin yoga and reiki sessions have greatly shaped the way she copes with chronic pain in her own life.
