This six-week beginner yoga series is perfect for those new to yoga or those wanting to refresh their practice. In a supportive and welcoming environment, we will connect with your body, gain flexibility, and explore a true source of introspection and stress relief as you are introduced to the foundations of asana (yoga postures), pranayama (breathwork), and meditation.
There will be plenty of opportunities to ask questions and receive instruction to ensure you are developing a strong base and sense of confidence as you journey into your own yoga practice.
Week 1: Introduction to the foundational aspects of a yoga practice
Week 2: Focus is on the proper alignment of foundational postures.
Week 3: We will explore the use of props and modifications to help you feel more comfortable and supported in your practice
Week 4: All about connecting breath to movement. Mindfulness anchors will be utilized to further deepen your practice.
Week 5: Focus is on maintaining healthy joints to ensure longevity in your yoga practice
Week 6: Taking everything we have learned, we will practice a full yoga class together
