Creating sanctuary is an art essential to childhood. We are born connoisseurs of comfort, carving out private spaces for ourselves to dream, grow, and relax. This energy is brought to life in treehouses, blanket forts, and our own vast imaginations. While navigating the long and winding road to adulthood, we fall out of the practice of cultivating sacred and nourishing spaces just for ourselves. This playshop and mini retreat is a symbolic return to that space of childlike wonder. It is a reestablishment of all things cozy and rejuvenating, and an exploration of deep rest through soft support. This is a space for daydreaming, journaling, community, guided movement, catching your breath, and resting deeply. It is a valuable reminder that we can access that same sanctuary from years ago, land in it to make space in hurried lives, and return again and again to find peace.
The following will be provided and available to all participants:
-yoga bolsters, sandbags, eye pillows, and mats
-blankets and chairs for fort building
-coloring pages, colored pencils and crayons
-guided movement, meditation, pranayama, and relaxation
-unstructured time for reflection, journaling, and rest
-sipping chocolate, tea, and mugs
Snuggle inside your fort, move and wiggle, rest with support, and recommit to cultivating more ease in your life!
