This session will explore The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho, a timeless fable about Santiago, an Andalusian shepherd boy who embarks on a journey in search of treasure, only to find something far greater—his own purpose and path. This inspiring tale invites us to reflect on our own lives, no matter where we are on our journey, making it the perfect companion to a mindful yoga practice.
Over 60 minutes, we’ll:
Begin with 30 minutes of gentle yoga and guided meditation inspired by the book, cultivating a peaceful space for reflection.
Conclude with 30 minutes of engaging discussion, sharing personal insights and experiences from the reading.
This multi-week series is open to everyone, whether you’re new to yoga or a seasoned practitioner. It’s an opportunity to connect with others, deepen your self-awareness, and nurture your mind and spirit through the wisdom of literature.
Join us as we journey together through this powerful text, blending physical practice with spiritual and intellectual growth.
This series can be attended in its entirety, or each class can stand alone as an hour of self-care and self-study. Enjoy the flexibility of reading the book at you own pace, on your own schedule. It is suggested that the book be read week by week throughout the series, if not completed prior to, however reading is not required to participate and enjoy the discussion. Book is not provided, and is available for purchase in paperback, electronically or audiobook, or by checking your local library.
