This is a unique gathering for any yoga student who wishes to deepen their practice beyond the mat. This series will bring together the traditions of yoga and meditation with the transformative power of written works. Each week, we’ll explore a book that inspires mindfulness, self-awareness, and holistic well-being. This 60 minute session will offer 30 minutes of gentle yoga and guided meditation pertaining to the chosen book, cultivating a peaceful space for reflection. We will conclude with 30 minutes of discussion, enjoying connection through our own individual experiences and takeaways from the readings.
Whether you're new to yoga or a seasoned practitioner, this book club is a space for your mind and spirit to grow. Join us as we journey through texts that elevate our understanding of ourselves and the world around us.
Exploring Radical Acceptance
In this class, we dive into Radical Acceptance by Tara Brach. This insightful book blends principles of meditation and Buddhism to guide us toward contentment with who we are and what life brings. Through rich discussions, guided meditation, gentle movement and restorative yoga you will learn to reduce judgement, encourage mindfulness and acceptance, and cultivate a softer, more tranquil way of being.
Each session combines thoughtful reflection with yoga, meditation and breathwork, helping you integrate these principles into your daily life. Whether you’ve read the book before or are experiencing it for the first time, you will find a space for reflection, sharing, and personal growth.
This series can be attended in its entirety, or each class can stand alone as an hour of self-care and self-study. Enjoy the flexibility of reading the book at you own pace, on your own schedule. It is suggested that the book be read week by week throughout the series, if not completed prior to, however reading is not required to participate and enjoy the discussion.
