Yoga and Ayurveda are sister sciences originally designed to work together to create optimal health and emotional well being for the practitioner. Both are roadmaps that can lead us to the highest truth of our innermost self, integrating and harmonizing all layers of our being- physical, mental, emotional energetic and spiritual.
In this class, we will explore Ayurvedic techniques, tools and philosophies to enhance your quality of life and you will learn how to integrate these simple tools into everyday living.
Since its inception thousands of years ago, yoga has always been a means to balance, harmonize and heal in all aspects of our life. This particular practice focuses on balancing the Left and Right Hemispheres of the brain through yoga postures, breathwork and learning. When we find this integration between the 2 hemispheres of our brain, what neurologists call “hemi-sync”, we gain access to 100% cognitive capacity and the totality of our nervous system which in turn supports our physical and emotional health and enhances our growth.
In this video we explore proprioception--the sense of self-movement and body perception--via the pose Standing Split (one of my faves!). We explore the pose on three levels--the floor, how it feels from Table Top (Bird Dog) and lastly from standing, seeing if we can notice not only the subtle differences in each position but also the similarities. Proprioception and breath are intertwined. The more aware you are of the breath, the easier it is to feel into the body.
Using Ayurveda’s basic principle of opposites balance—this workshop will focus on 2 daily habits that cultivate lightness, warmth, invigoration and dryness. We will keep the habits simple and help you create an action plan to integrate your new habits!
Explore gentle movements and yoga poses to stretch and release your lower back.
Ayurveda is a holistic lifestyle science, integrated over time. It is based in ancient wisdom and the cycles of our natural world. Ayurveda is a system accessible to everyone, and is for those looking for more out of life. Living a life filled with purpose starts here!
In this workshop we will discuss the 3 Doshas and the 5 Elements and how this wisdom shows up in everything we are, and everything we do. You will learn how to tap into these energies within you, feel for balance and imbalance, and learn how to bring harmony back into any area of your self or your life when needed.
Looking for a yoga class that energizes while helping you to build strength and flexibility? In this flow class you will link conscious breath with mindful movement. Awaken to your strength, self-awareness, and flexibility in a fun and empowering way! Modifications offered for all experience levels.
Recognizing the importance of balance in all aspects of the practice, it’s important that we not only give in service, but that we also learn to fully receive. In this class we will turn our awareness to receive; receive the nourishment of the breath, the peace in a still moment, the strength of the postures. In this way we fully experience and embody the yoga practice; the divine masculine of giving and the divine feminine of receiving.
As humans, we are destined to evolve, change, grow, develop, and expand, but that never happens without mistakes or failure. Even though change and defeat are constants in our lives, we consistently push them away in fear or disgust with ourselves. But just as we are destined for suffering and challenges, we are destined also for greatness. The practice of Restorative yoga is always meant to be an extension of understanding our humanity and making space for all parts of us to be true and present. Invite yourself here to hold yourself in unconditional high regard and softness--to hold yourself as the earth does.
If you're curious about yoga binds but don't know where to begin, then this is the sequence for you. In this slow flow class, we move towards two--Bound Warrior 2 (to open the chest) and Eagle (to bring some space to the upper back). So grab a strap, connect to your breath and let's dive on in.
Do you think you may be an empath? Do you feel what other people are going through? Do the people around you affect whether you have a good day or a bad one? Do you feel like you need other people to be happy so you can relax? Is quiet time to recharge a necessity instead of a luxury?
Taking control of your energetic frequency can go a long way toward helping you feel more grounded and centered.
Join Jennifer in her Empath 101 workshop to learn how to manage overwhelm and to take control of your energetic space. Learn to free yourself from the draining emotions of others and do what you came here to do: Shine!
Our spines are amazing structures that give us the flexibility, fluidity, grace, strength, and power we need to move through our days. The spine is a central channel not only of physical stability, but also of our seven main energy centers or chakras. In this class, you'll be guided through the 7 different directions of movement your spine is capable of, along with targeted spinal breathwork and restorative shapes. Tune into, refresh, stretch, and thank the spine by enjoying its full range of motion!
Wake up the body with movement. Inspire the mind with a teaching. Sit for ten minutes of silent meditation to create space and hold yourself with kind awareness as you move into your day. Morning Ritual will commit to starting your days with the wisdom of the yamas and the niyamas. Translated as the restraints and the observances, the yamas and the niyamas are yoga’s code of ethics and are essential principles for carrying yoga off the mat and into your daily life.
Within our bodies we simultaneously hold resistance and resilience. This Restorative Yoga class offers you an open invitation to welcome your whole self to this moment, and to recognize the power you have to begin again in peace. This practice is here to support you in acknowledging the physical armor you wear to protect your heart and mind, softening it, and feeling a deep sense of welcoming and belonging in the body and breath. Cultivate a newfound sense of warmth as you nestle into well-deserved quiet and replenishment.
